Monday 23rd May 2016

PONTYPOOL, South Wales, 23rd May 2016 – Pontypool RFC is pleased to announce the addition of Jamie Hallam to the club’s management board as its new secretary with immediate effect.

Hallam assumes the role from outgoing secretary, Colin Tuckwell, who retired from the club last week following thirteen years of dedicated service.

Hallam brings over five years’ worth of sports administration experience to role and will be responsible for overseeing all season ticketing, international ticketing and Welsh Rugby Union compliance affairs.

“I am delighted to be joining Pontypool RFC at such an exciting and ambitious time for the club,” said Hallam. “I have enjoyed supporting Pooler for a number of years, so the opportunity to take a more active role in the administration of the club is a huge honour for me personally.

“The secretary serves as the conduit between the club and its supporter base, and I have great respect for the responsibility that comes with performing such a role.

“I am thankful to everybody for offering me such a warm welcome and I look forward to building lasting relationships with supporters in the coming years.

“I am also hugely grateful to Colin Tuckwell for providing me with such comprehensive support in my transitioning into the role. Colin is hugely respected by everybody within the rugby community and I will do all I can to emulate all he has achieved for this rugby club and the game alike.”

Everybody at Pontypool RFC extends a warm welcome to Jamie and we wish him every success in his new role.

Supporters wishing to contact Jamie with any club-related enquiries can do so by emailing jamie.hallam@pontypoolrugby.co.uk.
