Pooler squad enjoy the movies in Vue Cinema Cwmbran's new luxury seats

Friday 23rd June 2017

Members of Pontypool RFC's squad had the opportunity to enjoy highlights of their emphatic WRU National Championship title winning campaign on the big screen last week as they celebrated the launch of Vue Cinema Cwmbran's luxurious new seating experience.

Every single standard seat at Vue Cinema Cwmbran has been replaced with a luxurious padded leather recliner, at no extra cost to cinema fans.

The upgrade sees Cwmbran become only the second Vue Cinema venue in the UK to become a fully recliner site, and the first in Wales to experience the refurbishment.

To mark the occasion, Vue Cinema Cwmbran invited Pooler players to enjoy the comfort of the new seats and put their feet up after a long, hard season.

Pooler enjoyed a near perfect season, winning 21 of their 22 league games to claim the WRU National Championship title for the first time in their history.

Captain Ben Parry – joined by team mates Elliot Ferriman, Clayton Gullis and Brandon Kent – said: “After the season we have had, it really has been fantastic to be able to put our feet up for a while and enjoy a bit of luxury treatment.

"We have all thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to try out ’The Recliner’ before we get back to work in preparing for another gruelling season."
