Lifelong Pooler supporter, Charlie Stokes, sadly passes away

Friday 21st July 2017

Pontypool RFC is saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong club supporter and volunteer, Charlie Stokes.

Charlie was a regular feature at Pontypool Park for over sixty years and would always be seen manning the club's iconic scoreboard through all the highs and lows the club has experienced throughout the years.

Charlie will be greatly missed by everybody at Pontypool RFC and we extend our thoughts and condolences to his family during this difficult time.

To commemorate Charlie's services to Pontypool RFC, the club has decided to name the scoreboard in his honour.
