Pontypool RFC v Carmarthen Quins RFC - pitch update

Due to the significant rainfall experienced at Pontypool Park in recent days, Pontypool RFC will perform a pitch inspection in the presence of a WRU Level 3 qualified referee at 9am on Saturday morning to determine whether the club's WRU National Cup clash versus Carmarthen Quins RFC can take place.

The club's facilities management contractor has performed extensive works on the pitch this week and will be at the ground throughout tomorrow to make every effort to ensure that the match goes ahead as scheduled.

Pontypool RFC officials are in regular contact with representatives from Carmarthen Quins RFC, the WRU and also S4C regarding conditions and the club will announce the outcome of the pitch inspection at the earliest opportunity on Saturday morning.
