Pooler commence pre-season training ahead of 2013/2014 campaign

Monday 24th June 2013

Pontypool RFC is pleased to announce that pre-season training in preparation for the 2013/2014 season will commence on Tuesday 25th June, 2013.

The last three months at Pontypool RFC have been incredibly positive. Kick-started by the incredible achievement of winning six of the final seven fixtures of the 2012/2013 SWALEC Championship season, followed by an array of off field improvements – the return of regular training is a perfect opportunity to continue to develop the current wave of positive momentum experienced by all at the club.

“Everybody involved with the playing and coaching side of the club is looking forward to getting back on the rugby pitch to continue to build on the gains made towards the end of last season,” said Pontypool RFC Team Manager, Shaun Rees. “None of us wanted last season to end, but by everyone taking the opportunity to have a rest and re-charge the batteries, there is a hunger to get stuck back into the swing of things and prepare for next season.”

Training will commence at Pontypool Park at 6pm, with the session being open to the public.

Pontypool RFC would welcome the opportunity for additional players to participate in the initial training session. Interested parties are advised to contact Shaun Rees on 07803 874737.
