PONTYPOOL, South Wales, 25th August 2016 – Pontypool RFC is pleased to announce that M5 Associates has entered into a multi-season agreement to become the club’s primary shirt sponsor, beginning with the 2016/17 WRU National Championship campaign.

A business within the group of companies owned by Pooler’s executive chairman, Peter Jeffreys, the bespoke commercial and property finance provider’s partnership with Pooler marks the continuation of an eight-year commercial association between Jeffreys and the club - with Medinet having previously supported the club since the 2009/10 Principality Premiership season.

“I am delighted to continue my association with Pontypool RFC and am thrilled to introduce a new organisation within the group to the club,” said Jeffreys.

“As was the case when Medinet supported Pooler for a number of years, M5 Associates is passionate about seeing Pontypool RFC remain a positive presence within the community and further supporting the people who have contributed so much to the environment that exists today.

“Everybody at the club is looking forward to the forthcoming season and I am delighted with the focus and determination being demonstrated by the management, the squad and the volunteers, to ensure that we continue to work towards our objective of returning to the Principality Premiership division.

“This is an exciting time to be involved with rugby in Pontypool and M5 Associates is looking forward to experiencing it with our ever committed band of volunteers and supporters.”

On the continuation of the relationship between Pontypool RFC and Jeffreys’ group of companies, Pontypool RFC president and former British & Irish Lion, Graham Price, said: “The longstanding contributions made by Peter Jeffreys – both financially and in terms of his professional expertise - is a key ingredient of the success and stability the club enjoys today, particularly since taking a leading managerial role over the previous three seasons.

“It continues to demonstrate the confidence that Peter and his group of companies has in not only the on-field objectives held by the club, but also those who have worked hard to ensure we have retained our family-like culture that sees us face the challenges in Welsh rugby together.

“I have every confidence that with the long-term support of Peter, Pontypool RFC will continue to enjoy a happy and positive future.

“For that we are exceptionally grateful.”
