Since today’s announcement was made by the Welsh Rugby Union regarding by the date and venue of Pontypool RFC’s crucial Principality Premiership play-off later this month, we have observed a number of supporters expressing concern about not being able to make the match for logistical reasons.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that we hear you and to help alleviate your concerns, the club will be putting on as many complimentary shuttle buses as it takes to ensure you get to the Talbot Athletic Ground in time to see the big match.
It has been a tremendous three seasons for Pontypool RFC, but none of this would have been possible without your unwavering support. You have backed us every step of the way and we are going to do whatever it takes to make sure none of you get left behind.
With that in mind, I would kindly ask you to give us a couple of days to gather more information from the Welsh Rugby Union in terms of logistics before we announce how you can book your seats on our coaches.
In short – if you can convince your employers that your case of ‘Pooleritis’ means you must take Friday afternoon off work, we will take care of the rest!
Whatever the result may be in two weeks’ time, this is an incredibly exciting time for Pontypool RFC and we look forward to going through this experience together with you - our incredible supporters.
