The Under-9s of Garndiffaith and Pontypool United played out a thrilling curtain raiser game before our senior encounter with Neath RFC on Saturday
An enthralling contest brought a 12-10 victory for the youngsters from the Garn.
“The young ones gave one hundred per cent in all aspects of their game although being under nine," said Community Outreach Co-ordinator Tony Clarke.
"It was the most difficult of decisions to choose the most committed player awards as each and every one of the youngsters on view showed total commitment to their respective clubs”.
However, Elizabeth Clarke did manage to pick Jacob Reed, of Garndiffaith, and Pontypool United's Isaac Thomas as the Most Committed Players.
We'd like to thank all coaches, staff, players, family, friends and supporters of Garndiffaith and Pontypool United for coming down to Pontypool Park at the weekend and we hope everyone had a good time.
