Over 150 guests were present at Pontypool RFC's end of season presentation evening at The Parkway Hotel and Spa in Cwmbran on Friday evening, where the club said farewell to one of its longest serving members.
In what was the true highlight of the evening, Pooler paid its thanks to out-going secretary, Colin Tuckwell, who retires after thirteen years of dedicated service to the club. He was presented with the prestigious Clubman of the Season award by executive chairman, Peter Jeffreys, who compered the evening's events.
Colin will be missed and everyone at the club would like to thank him for all his hard work. We wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement!
Guests were also treated to a series of hilarious stories from none other than Pooler legend and club president, Graham Price, who shared stories from his playing days as part of the famous Pontypool Front Row alongside Tony 'Charlie' Faulkner and Bobby Windsor.
