Pontypool RFC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to join our well-established and dynamic medical team for the 2019-2020 season.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of musculoskeletal complaints, traumatic injuries, rehabilitation and emergency care.
They will have worked previously in either a professional or semi-professional rugby environment and be confident in liaising with senior management, coaching staff and strength and conditioning staff in the management and progression of player rehabilitation.
They must hold a Welsh Rugby Union or Rugby Football Union (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 pitch-side qualification and be committed to upholding and exceeding the standards set out within the Welsh Rugby Union’s Medical Minimum Standards criteria.
They will have an enthusiasm for rugby and be passionate in contributing to the future success of the club as part of a diverse team.
They will report to the club’s Medical Director and be supported in the role by a Junior Physiotherapist and a Sports Massage Therapist.
They will typically be required to fulfil the role for all training sessions (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and cover all match days (Saturday afternoons).
