Pontypool RFC is pleased to confirm arrangements and the pricing structure for season tickets and match day tickets for the 2022-2023 WRU Admiral National Championship season.
For the first time in the Jeffreys family’s near ten-year management of Pontypool RFC, the club has taken the difficult decision to increase season ticket and match day ticket prices for next season.
Speaking of the price increases, Pontypool RFC’s chief executive officer, Ben Jeffreys, said: “During our time at the club, we have always tried to offer supporter memberships at a compelling price point and we have fixed these prices for several years.
“But as is the case for so many businesses, the residual impact of the pandemic, high energy prices and the volatility with inflation means that we have had to review our pricing structure to ensure the club continues to operate in a sustainable manner.
“Throughout the pandemic, supporters have consistently expressed their desire to help support the club. They are aware of the high overheads that comes with running a rugby club and how such limited income during a period of sustained inactivity has impacted so many sporting organisations in Wales.
“We have listened to that feedback and we are incredibly grateful to supporters for their unwavering commitment to the club. Whilst it’s never ideal to increase prices, we know supporters will be understanding of this and will remain fully behind the club.”
Season ticket packages will launch for sale on 10th July 2022, whereby an early bird offering will be available until 1st August 2022. Following this period, regular season tickets will be available until the first game of the season.
Early bird season ticket prices are as follows:
Full ticket: £80
Concession ticket: £64
Early bird season tickets equate to five free matches compared to regular match day ticket prices.
Regular season ticket prices are as follows:
Full ticket: £90
Concession ticket: £72
Regular season tickets equate to four free matches compared to regular match day ticket prices.
Match day ticket sales for non-season ticket holders will sell for £10 per regular ticket and £8 per concession ticket. Cup matches will remain all pay on the day at these price points and are not included in season ticket packages.
Pontypool RFC is also pleased to announce that season tickets will now be exclusively sold online in partnership with Future Ticketing.
Future Ticketing is a supplier of ticketing software services, capacity and data management, and access control systems to the sports, events and venues markets. Since launching in 2014, Future Ticketing has grown exponentially and currently manages systems for 300 Irish and UK clients selling tickets in over 150 countries worldwide.
In a major advancement and modernisation of how the club operates its ticketing function, supporters will now be able to purchase season tickets in a simplified manner online, as opposed to the antiquated process of relying on the now redundant club secretary to process applications manually.
Furthermore, supporters will now be able to purchase match day tickets online ahead of fixtures, as opposed to visiting the ticket office on match days. Not only is this a simpler process, but it will improve the match day experience by reducing lengthy queues forming ahead of particularly busy fixtures.
Pontypool RFC’s online season ticket portal will be made available when season ticket sales launch on 10thJuly 2022. Please note that payments can only be made by credit or debit card and the club will no longer be able to accept cash or cheque as a mode of payment.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the club.
