Interim Wales U20 head coach Mark Jones has included Sam Scarfe, Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths and Huw Anderson in his squad for this summer’s U20 World Cup.
The trio have had impressive seasons for Pontypool, helping the club to a historic unbeaten double as well as securing a place in the Indigo Premiership next season, and that has been rewarded with a place on the plane to South Africa.
Scarfe has played 12 times this season while Kelleher-Griffiths has featured on 10 occasions and their form in the front row saw them named in the squad for the U20 Six Nations earlier this year with both featuring heavily throughout the competition.
They will now be joined in the Cape Town region by teammate Anderson, one of five uncapped players named in the 30-man squad.
The tournament kicks off on 24th June with Wales starting their campaign against New Zealand on the opening day in Pool A.
Games against Japan (29th June) and reigning champions France (4th July) will follow with the final taking place on 14th July at the Athlone Sports Stadium.
The inaugural tournament in 2008, was hosted in Wales, who finished 4th. Their best finish came in the 2013 edition in France, when they were just edged out in final by England.
Everyone at Pontypool wishes Sam, Dylan and Huw the best of luck.
