Pontypool RFC would like to congratulate Ewan Rosser and Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths on their inclusion for the Dragon’s travelling squad to South Africa.
The Dragons play the Hollywoodbets Sharks and Emirates Lions in the BKT United Rugby Championship over the next two weekends and both Rosser and Kelleher-Griffiths are in contention to feature.
This is not the first outing for Rosser as he made his competitive debut for the Dragons at Munster earlier this month after bagging his first try in a friendly victory over Ospreys in September.
Rosser also came off the bench, replacing brother Jared, against Leinster last weekend before earning a first start in the recent derby victory over the Ospreys.
His increased involvement with the Dragons has come after a strong start to the season with Pontypool where he scored three tries in as many appearances taking his total Pooler tally to six tries in 12 games.
This will be a first taste for front-row Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths, who has performed consistently well in a Pontypool jersey since his first game for the club as a replacement prop in March last year.
The Wales U20 international had to wait a few weeks before getting his first taste of Indigo Premiership minutes but has fitted in seamlessly at this level. His recent try against Ebbw Vale elevated his record to four tries in 16 appearances.
He has also flourished at international level, featuring in every match for Wales during the U20 Six Nations and World Rugby U20 Championship this year.
Head coach Leighton Jones said: “We are delighted to see the boys recognised for the performances that we have witnessed throughout their time here.
“From the moment they joined the club, they have bought into everything we do and have become important players in the squad.
“We’ve had a few boys from the Dragons and I can’t fault their attitude or commitment to the team and they fit in perfectly.
“It is not just their talent that we appreciate but also who they are as people and we are pleased to play a part in their development, both on the field and off it.”
