Our partnership with the Dragons has blossomed over the past few years and Super Rygbi Cymru gives the platform for this to develop even further. A number of young players, aspiring to reach elite level, will form part of the Pooler squad this season.
Morgan Lloyd, Sam Scarfe & Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths have all been excellent for Pooler and are fine examples of the partnership that has seen all parties benefit. All have won awards at Pooler over the past two seasons whilst Huw Anderson has also been electric in the Pooler jersey. All the boys are knocking on Dai Flanagan’s door looking for first team selection with Morgan expected to feature in the Dragons #9 jersey this season. Sam, Dylan & Huw will also be hoping to pull on the Dragons jersey regularly but will also continue their development in red, white & black this season.
Owain James joins Pooler for Super Rygbi Cymru and will benefit from the extensive knowledge that Leighton Jones, Kelvyn Williams & Ashley Sweet offer. Evan Minto & Ryan Jones also join the pack and are looking forward to pulling the jersey on having come through the local pathway at Pontypool United and Pontypool Schools.
Exciting Fly Half Harri Ford links up with Pooler for the coming campaign and is joined in the backs by young speedster Ioan Duggan.
We can’t wait for the season to begin and look forward to seeing the boys run out at Pontypool Park!
