Match day 5 of Super Rygbi Cyrmu saw Pooler fall short in Carmarthen however it was a game that easily could have gone in our favour on a different day - Small margins matter at this level and it can easily be argued that all 5 of our results so far this season could easily have been reversed if certain events at key periods had swung the other way.
On Saturdays defeat at Carmarthen Tom Hancock said ‘We started the game very well playing some excellent rugby. As a group we are very disappointed by the way we then became ill disciplined and then compounded that with errors’
He added ‘We showed plenty of togetherness to get back into the contest but to leave with only one point hurts us. We have a clear understanding of where we went wrong and will look to rectify those points next week in an exciting fixture at home to Newport. We're conceding too many points and penalties, and fixing that will be our priority. If we do that, we feel we have the game to beat anyone in the league and can build more consistency in our performances off the base of good discipline and organised defence’
We’re hoping for another bumper crowd this week for our Gwent derby against Newport and we’d ask that all supporters arrive at the ground earlier than normal. Our volunteers, as usual, will be working hard to ensure everyone enters the ground safely and as promptly as possible but you can avoid the queue by buying your match tickets (and programs) in advance by Clicking here
Pre-purchased tickets will be available for collection from 1pm onwards on Saturday from the dedicated collection point near the main gate - Please quote your surname plus ticket reference which is provided at the time of booking by email.
