There is a lot to play for in the remainder of this Super Rygbi Cymru season with our league program wrapping up next weekend at Pontypool Park vs Cardiff RFC. Whilst our current focus remains very much on the rugby, behind the scenes we have one eye on next season and can share some updates with you.
This first SRC season has been a big learning curve for us and we’re in a much better place for that. We remain committed to playing at this highest level with the best semi-professional players playing alongside the next generation of players aspiring to be professionals. Every player that has pulled the jersey are equals and have been committed to the cause and bought into our ethos.
We’ve been involved in some hugely entertaining fixtures and have scored 81 tries across our 21 fixtures so far – We’ve definitely given the Pooler Army value for money!
With this in mind, and to reward the loyalty of the Pooler Army, we can confirm that season ticket prices will remain fixed for the 25/26 season. Once again we will have 11 guaranteed fixtures (9 SRC league plus 2 SRC cup) at Pontypool Park along with possible additional games, dependant on our progress in either competition. There will be an early bird period (dates to be confirmed) which will see prices at £108 for adults above 16 years of age or £90 for those aged 65 and above. General admission prices on match days will be increasing to £15 or £12 for those aged 65 and above.
The funding for SRC participation, along with the salary cap, have ensured that this season has been more financially viable than any other over the past decade however we’re still heavily reliant on Peter Jeffreys and have committed to becoming fully sustainable. We’re looking to increase our commercial offering and as such would invite any businesses to get in touch with us. Next seasons kit will be ordered from VX3 very shortly and a number of spaces are available for your business, including the main shirt sponsor. Prices range from £3,000 + VAT through to £15,000 + VAT so please do get in touch with jamie.hallam@pontypoolrugby.co.uk to discuss further.
2025/26 will also see us launch player sponsorship opportunities so you can really show your support to your favourite player. The cost will be £300 + VAT and will include one of this years playing jerseys, signed by your player. You will also receive recognition on our website along with match day shout outs.
