Louis Rees
Louis, 22 and an Abergavenny resident, joins us from Carmarthen Quins having made 19 appearances in SRC last season. He’s also represented Neath.
On joining Louis said ‘I’m really looking forward to getting started with Pontypool. It’s a massive club with a proud history and I’m keen to contribute and get stuck in with the boys. The SRC is such a competitive league where everyone can beat eachother – Hopefully we’ll be taking plenty of scalps this season and really kick on from last year’
Craig Evans knows all about Louis and he added ‘He gave our defence a difficult afternoon this season. Statistically one of the most elusive attackers in the SRC last season supporters can expect Louis to be a willing ball carrier who beats defenders’
Sam Berry
Sam, 20 and a local Pontypool boy, joins from Cardiff Met to add depth and challenge for the outside half jersey. He’s also played for Cross Keys in the WRU Championship and featured against us as a teenager in our fixture back in 2022 and also has U18 international honours.
Sam is excited by putting on the colours and supporters can expect to see a skilful operator with a good left foot.
