Sam Jones joins after playing at Brecon for the past 2 seasons. His former clubs include Merthyr and RGC and Sam will add quality and a vast amount of experience at full back.

Sam said ‘It’s an honour to join Pontypool and be part of such a historic club with a great set of supporters. I’m excited to be joining a very talented and ambitious playing group and hope to add my experience to the squad as we look to achieve success this season. The SRC is a highly competitive league and was full of exciting rugby last season. I’m really looking forward to embracing its challenge and continuing to develop as a player’
