Cup Competition Update

This afternoon the WRU have confirmed that postponed fixtures will not be replayed and will be recorded as 0-0 draws. This means that we will not be hosting Carmarthen Quins with both clubs being awarded 2 points in the round robin phase of the tournament.

We had hoped that the fixture could be played but the weather beat us - Unfortunately the 3G pitch at Abersychan was not available for the weekend so we were unable to have the contingency that we had in place 2 weeks prior.

There is no free weekend set aside in the fixture schedule for such situations. The WRU considered alternatives and sought feedback from all clubs however there was not enough support to rejig the calendar to allow postponed games to be played midweek.

We had hoped that all fixtures would be completed but also appreciate the challenging situation that the postponements have caused - We move on to face Cardiff next Thursday evening at The Arms Park in what is now a crucial final fixture for us as we look to progress to the semi final.
