Welcome Connor

For our next announcement we’re delighted to welcome Connor Edwards for the 2026/27 season

A product of Croesyceiliog RFC, Connor earned U20 honours whilst signed at the Dragons with his time there also featuring spells at Jersey Reds & Hartpury. He moved onto Doncaster Knights in 2021 and has racked up 102 appearances.

Tom Hancock can’t wait to have Connor join up and said ‘We're signing Connor whilst at the peak of his powers. His form in the RFU Championship for Doncaster Knights in recent months shows that we have a centre who is capable of adding to our attack and defence as well as our on field leadership. We expect Connor to come in and drive standards whilst enjoying his rugby and he'll create competition within our squad that's been lacking at centre'

On signing, Connor said ‘I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Pooler. As soon as I spoke with the coaches and people around the club, it was clear how much pride, history and ambition there is here. Pontypool is a club that means a huge amount to so many people, and that’s something I really wanted to be part of. I know the expectations that come with wearing the jersey and representing the club, and that’s a challenge I’m excited to take on’
