Pontypool welcome Championship newcomers Skewen to Pontypool Park on Saturday no doubt boosted by their excellent 30-19 win at Tata Steel last Saturday.
Skewen, also newcomers to Pontypool’s fixture list, were at home to Narberth in their last match but were defeated 31-24 but picked up a losing bonus point.
Pontypool currently lead the Championship table with six wins out of six and 28 league points, five points ahead of nearest rivals Tata Steel and Narberth while Skewen are in sixth position with three wins from their six matches and 14 league points.
