Dan Hill is looking to build on the victory over Neath as Pontypool welcome Bridgend Ravens to Pontypool Park as part of a busy run-in.
The Ravens come into this game with plenty of confidence themselves after back-to-back wins over Neath and RGC 1404 and will be looking to maintain their good form.
However, the triumph at The Lextan Gnoll was the perfect way to get the final group of fixtures under way and Hill is hoping to use the confidence gained as a platform to build on as they chase a top-four place.
“It’s going to give us a big confidence boost going into Bridgend and the games after,” explained the forward.
“It was a great result and we can take that into the upcoming games.
“We scored a lot of good tries and threw the ball around and I think we’ll use that win as a springboard.
“If we play like we did on Saturday, where we scored 40 points, for the rest of the season then we could pick up more bonus points.
“I was pretty nervous as it was my first time back since hurting my neck but I just got on the field and got stuck in.
“The message has been to just enjoy the rugby at the moment.
“We’ve got our sights on that fourth spot and the team believe we can do it.”
Since his debut against Newport in December, Hill has proved to be an integral member of the side, playing in seven of the eight games since his signing, bagging two tries.
“It was easy to integrate into the team because I knew the majority of the boys,” explained Hill.
“It was a great atmosphere and all the boys who I didn’t know previously were easy to get along with.
“I knew it was a big club with a lot of history and support but since coming here it has blown me away.”
