Pontypool RFC v Torfaen XV to raise funds for Scott Bessant's Fighting Fund

Pontypool RFC is pleased to announce that all proceeds raised from Friday's forthcoming friendly fixture versus a specially selected Torfaen XV team will be donated to 'Scott Bessant's Fighting Fund'.

34-year-old Bessant suffered life changing injuries during the early hours of Sunday 13th August 2017 after being discovered by a passer by on Pentwyn Lane, Abersychan.

The ex-Wales Dragonhearts player remains in a coma at the University Hospital of Wales and it is likely that his path to rehabilitation will be long and difficult.

Pontypool RFC is calling on the entire Torfaen community to support a fantastic evening of rugby at Pontypool Park that will raise some vital funds to aid Bessant's on-going treatment and recovery.

Pontypool RFC v Torfaen XV gets underway at 19:30 with all tickets costing £5.
