Pontypool Schools Finals take centre stage

The curtain comes down on the schools rugby season with the Pontypool Schools Cup Finals, which once again will take place at Pontypool Park.

The Year 7 final between Ysgol Gwynllyw and West Monmouth will kick things off on Thursday 2nd May at 2.30pm.

The Year 8s of West Monmouth and Cwmbran High will meet the next day on Friday 3rd May, with kick-off at 2.30pm.

Rounding off the competitions will see Croesyceiliog Comprehensive take on West Mon in the Year 9 final on Tuesday 7th May, with kick-off at 2.30pm.

“We are pleased to announce the aforementioned dates for this season’s Pontypool Schools Cup Finals, which once again will go ahead at our club’s splendid ground.

"Many thanks to Jamie Hallam and the executive for agreeing to stage the games.

"We hope to see big numbers each day to hopefully witness some great junior rugby," said community outreach co-ordinator Tony Clarke.
