Rhodri Cole signs

News of this one may have crept out at the back end of last season but we can now officially confirm that Rhodri Cole is a Pooler player!

Having previously represented Aberavon, Neath, Cardiff, Llanelli, Glynneath & Scarlets, Rhodri made a massive impact towards the end of the 2024/25 season after he answered an SOS call 24 hours before our fixture vs Swansea in April. On signing for Pooler Rhod said ‘The opportunity I was given at the end of last season gave me a new lease of life and the welcome I had from the boys was fantastic. The standards and professionalism at this club were too good for me to turn down. Hopefully next season we can progress into a top 4 spot and be challenging at the business end of the season – It would be great to win some SRC silverware in either the league or the cup competitions. From a personal perspective I just want to fight every week to nail a place in the team and do all I can to contribute towards our positive environment.

Gareth Betts knows plenty about scrum halves and said ’Rhodri really impressed us on permit from Neath towards the end of last season. He suits our pack and his game management & tactical nous will be a big boost for our options at half-back. A stalwart of a successful Aberavon side for so long, Rhodri brings experience and know-how to our young exciting back division and direction to our hungry pack
