Dragons Collaboration

Sunday 08th June 2025

Last season saw our partnership with Dragons RFC grow to new levels and the positive collaboration between us was very mutually beneficial and we're going to keep looking for ways to build further still.

From a playing perspective, and for the right reasons, we hope that we don't see Huw Anderson, Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths, Morgan Lloyd & Sam Scarfe feature in a Pooler jersey too much. All remain welcome and part of our set up and could feature throughout the season although they are very much senior Dragons now.

Evan Minto, fresh from captaining Wales U20's at Pontypool Park, has been part of our squad throughout last season although he featured heavily for Hartpury in their victorious BUCS Super Rugby campaign. He'll feature a lot more prominently this season along with Ryan Jones who followed Evan onto the pitch last Friday. That duo will be joined by fellow back rower and Pontypool United product, Luke Daniel, who we've seen follow Pooler from the terraces from a young age.

Owain James & Harri Ford both made their senior Dragons debuts towards the end of last season and will continue their development in red, white & black for now.

George Tuckley made a strong impact for us at the end of last season on permit from Cardiff Met and is in the Wales U20's training camp hoping to make the final squad which will compete at the Junior World Championship.

Morgan Carter is yet another from the Pontypool United production line and will feature at centre after some impressive performances for the Dragons 18's RAG team.

Rhys Cole, a product of Blackwood RFC, will look to score plenty of tries from the Wing. Rhys has recently featured for Wales at under 18 level.

We look forward to all the boys joining up with the squad
