Pontypool Community Council continue Pooler support

Tuesday 18th November 2014

Pontypool RFC is pleased to announce that Pontypool Community Council will continue its relationship with the club throughout the 2014/2015 season.

Under the guidance of its 21 elected members, Pontypool Community Council is responsible for making decisions on community services and activities delivered throughout the town of Pontypool. This includes offering support to local sporting entities, such as Pontypool RFC.

As was the case last season, the Pontypool Community Council crest will occupy a prominent place on the shorts worn by the Pontypool RFC squad on match days and the club will work closely with the council to deliver match day experiences to residents of Pontypool.

“Pontypool Community Council wishes to continue its partnership with Pontypool RFC,” said Cllr Bryn Parker, of Pontypool Community Council. “Members recognise the contribution that Pontypool RFC is making to the community and we wish everyone associated with the club a successful climb back to the top of Welsh rugby.”

Pontypool RFC Commercial Director, Ben Jeffreys, expressed his enthusiasm towards the continuation of this relationship.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Pontypool Community Council for a further season,” said Jeffreys.

“Community development is a primary focus of our efforts at Pontypool RFC and the opportunity to continue to work alongside an organisation that serves the needs of some 37,000 members of the local community is a fantastic opportunity to further improve the relationship the club has with the town of Pontypool.

“We are very grateful to the management of Pontypool Community Council for their loyal support and we very much look forward to working together for the rest of this season, and hopefully beyond.”
