Welcome Chief

We’re delighted to announce that Dale ‘Chief’ McIntosh has joined the club with immediate effect - Chief doesn’t need much introduction given his impressive track record with his passion for the game very well known.

He made 454 appearances for Pontypridd across the back row or lock and was rewarded with 2 Welsh caps. His coaching career is glittered with trophies with multiple league and cup successes whilst at Pontypridd & Merthyr. Chief also had a spell coaching at Cardiff rugby and was most recently head coach at Brecon RFC until the end of last season and oversaw one of their most successful periods on the pitch with them being promoted through to the Welsh Premiership.

Chief takes on the role of Senior coach and will assist Tom in a number of areas. His experience and knowledge will be of huge value which he’ll be sharing with our existing coaching team.

On the appointment of Chief, Peter Jeffreys said ‘it’s great to have Dale on board. We met last week after Toms recommendation and I was immediately impressed by his attitude and his ideas. I feel that Chief will bring something different into our environment’

In other squad news we can confirm that Sam Jones & Lewis Robey have both left the club and have signed for RGC & Bargoed respectively - We wish both of them well for the future.
