Welcome Rhys Williams

We’re delighted to confirm that Rhys Williams joins our ranks for the 2026/27 Super Rygbi Cymru season. Rhys replaces Aneurin James, who’s moved onto Pontypridd RFC whom we wish well for the future

Rhys joins having previously captained Wales at U18 & U20 level. His former clubs include Cardiff rugby, Merthyr, Pontypridd & RC Massy Essonne.

Head coach Tom Hancock was delighted to sign a player with such quality and said ‘After losing Aneurin late in the day unexpectedly to Pontypridd, we felt a little light at hooker. We’re excited to add a player of Rhys’s experience and quality to the group. We know we can build our game around our set piece and we know Rhys has great strength in the lineout and scrum that will improve us. He’ll be a good sounding board and mentor for Tiann Hall in particular and will no doubt bring him along further as a player too. We’ve now got really good strength in depth and quality at hooker and we look forward to an exciting season ahead’
