Ellis Lewis signs for 26/27

We’re delighted to confirm that Ellis Lewis has signed permanently for the 2026/27 Super Rygbi Cymru campaign.

Ellis joined on a temporary basis towards the end of last season and impressed in his 5 appearances showing the Pooler Army plenty of grit and toughness alongside plenty of skill and pace.

He made an immediate impact within the group and Tom Hancock said ‘it’s great to have Ellis sign on for the coming season. He’s a very talented player as he demonstrated at the tail end of last year for us along with impressing for the U20’s beforehand. He might not be a local lad but he fits the mould of a Pontypool player and he’s fit in perfectly to our environment’

On signing Ellis said ‘Joining the club at the end of last season was a great experience as I found it very easy to get settled as the boys and coaching staff were great. It’s just a great club in general to be a part of and I can’t wait to see what next year holds for us’
