Welcome Aneurin & Joel

We’re delighted to confirm two new signings in Aneurin Paterson & Joel Paterson .

Aneurin hails from Newbridge whom he’s represented right through from mini & junior to their senior side as a winger.

On joining Aneurin said ‘I’m excited for this next chapter and pulling the jersey on. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and embrace the new challenges head on. I’ll be giving everything to the team both on and off the field.

Joel joins from Blackwood RFC whom he’s represented from U12’s having previously featured at Newbridge minis. He’s also featured for the Dragons U16’s side.

The prop said ‘I’m delighted to join Pontypool and be part of such a historic club. The ambition around the club is something that stood out to me and I’m excited to be a part of that. I can’t wait to get started in pre-season, meet the boys and make the most of the opportunity I’ve been given. I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead, developing my game, and pushing myself to a higher level.

On both boys signing Tom said ‘Aneurin & Joel ate both really promising youngsters and have impressed for their home clubs. We look forward to see how both take their opportunity in Super Rygbi Cymru whilst we partner alongside Newbridge & Blackwood.
