Pontypool welcome SWALEC Championship newcomers Newcastle Emlyn to Pontypool Park on Saturday. Newcastle Emlyn and Pontypool met for the first time ever in the league match at picturesque Dol Wiber on Saturday 17 October 2015 with Pooler running out 40-19 winners.
Newcastle Emlyn performed very well in the first half, restricting Pooler to an 11-5 advantage at the break. The second half produced some good quality rugby from both sides with six tries scored, four to Pooler and two to Newcastle Emlyn.
Pontypool currently occupy 3rd place in the league table while Newcastle Emlyn are 9th
