Pontypool make the long trip to Pembrokeshire on Saturday to take on second-placed Narberth at the Lewis-Lloyd Ground in a mouth-watering top-of-the-table clash in the WRU National Championship, kick-off 2.30pm.
Pooler, who beat Glamorgan Wanderers 47-11 at Ely last Saturday, currently lead the league table with 11 straight wins and 51 league points while Narberth, who trounced close rivals Tata Steel 46-5 at home last weekend, have won 9 of their 11 games and 42 league points.
Last season Pooler did the double over the Otters with a first success at the Lewis-Lloyd Ground (26-18) in the first game of the campaign and a 22-10 bonus-point win at Pontypool in the return in December. In the first game of this season Pooler had a comfortable 40-6 victory at Pontypool Park but Saturday’s eagerly awaited clash will be Pontypool’s toughest game of the season. They will need to be on top form if they are to keep their 100% league record.
