Pontypool will be looking to extend their impressive winning run to 16 league matches on Saturday when they travel to Broadacre to take on Dunvant in the WRU National Championship, kick-off 2.30pm.
Despite languishing at the foot of the league table, Dunvant are tough to beat on their home ground so Pooler will have to be on top of their game to come away with a win.
Pontypool currently head the league table with 15 wins out of 15 matches played and 69 points, Tata Steel in second on 57 points and Narberth third on 55.
Dunvant have won 2 of their 15 matches and have 13 league points, seven adrift of Newbridge who are immediately above them in the table.
Of Pooler’s previous 9 trips to Broadacre, they have only won two – their first and last visits.
The first was in a WRU Cup match on 23 February 1991 when they gained a narrow 13-3 verdict and their last visit was on 9 February 2002 and came away with a handsome 60-15 victory. In the league game at Pontypool Park at the beginning of October, Pooler secured a 69-17 win.
