After a blank Saturday last week, with the match at Bedlinog postponed due to an unplayable pitch, Pontypool will be keen to get back in action this Saturday when they make the long journey west to picturesque Dol Wiber to take on Newcastle Emlyn in the WRU National Championship.
Cardiff Met took advantage of Pooler not having a game when they beat Newbridge at the Welfare Ground and, in doing so, took over top spot in the Championship table, now leading Pontypool by three league points.
Newcastle Emlyn have struggled this season with only one win from six matches and 6 league points and are in eleventh place, a point ahead of bottom club Newbridge.
