On Saturday Pontypool will be looking for their 40th consecutive league victory as they welcome Newcastle Emlyn to Pontypool Park for a WRU National Championship match – Pooler’s first home game in 9 weeks.
Pooler’s last game at Pontypool Park was on 15 December 2018 when they defeated Beddau 45-6
Pooler are currently clear at the top of the league table with 68 league points out of a possible 70, winning all 14 games so far.
They are 8 points ahead of second-placed Ystrad Rhondda with three games in hand.
However, Emlyn are struggling this season and are in 11th place with 21 league points from 14 games.
Earlier in the season, Pooler gained a comfortable 52-19 victory over Emlyn at Dol Wiber on 20 October.
