Pooler gained their 4th successive away win with a 40-19 success at Newcastle Emlyn last Saturday and currently occupy 3rd place in the SWALEC Championship table, while their visitors are in 11th position.
Last time out The Athletic lost 32-24 at home to Cardiff Met. The results of last season’s matches went with the away side with Pontypool coming away from Newbridge Fields at the beginning of November with a narrow 16-13 verdict while Bridgend Athletic trounced Pooler at Pontypool Park 29-0 at the end of March.
