Pontypool travel to Bargoed Park on Saturday for their final and hugely important SWALEC Championship game of the season. Bargoed have only lost one game at home in the league all season so it will be a stiff test for Pooler. This should be an absolute cracker as the clubs drew 19-19 in late September at Pontypool Park.
Any Pooler win on Saturday will see them promoted to the Principality Premiership. After the disappointments of last week and the narrow defeat by RGC 1404 at home, Pontypool will be determined to end the season on a high. There was a large crowd at Pontypool Park last Saturday and it would be great if those supporters make the journey to the Rhymney Valley to get behind Pooler and, hopefully, witness another piece of history.
The Pontypool team and replacements will be selected from the following squad: Jamie Jeune, Jamie Edwards, Ben Parry (captain), Garin Harris, Joe Popple, Matthew Thomas, Derryn Jones, Gareth Rusby-Davies, Rob Nash, Nathan Hudd, Ben Sparks, Aaron Quick, Rhys Dyer, Dan Brooks, Sam Mills, Tom Hancock, Pat Lewis, Rhodri Usher, Sione Tu’ipulotu, Dan Robinson, Marc Thorley, Josh Hurley, Nathan Brooks, Clayton Gullis.
