Six Nations action and last week’s postponement at Bridgend Athletic mean that Pontypool have not played for a month, so they will be keen to get back in action on Saturday as they welcome Beddau RFC to Pontypool Park for a SWALEC Championship game.
Pooler’s last game was on 30th January when they overcame Championship newcomers, Newcastle Emlyn RFC 27-13 at home.
When Pooler visited Mount Pleasant Park in November, they were very relieved to come away with a victory by the narrowest of margins (10-9) so Saturday’s game will be a stiff test for Pontypool. Pooler is currently in third position in the league table while Beddau are three places below.
