“I can only describe what I witnessed Saturday as one of the best tag rugby games I have seen”.
They were the words of Community Outreach Co-Ordinator Tony Clarke following the U8s curtain raiser before the match between Pontypool and Carmarthen Quins at Pontypool Park last weekend.
The youngsters of Croesyceiliog and Cwmbran not only managed a try haul of 19 but also forged friendships between players of both sides that will last a lifetime.
It was a privilege to have these youngsters at the Park and hopefully they will return again later in the season.
The M and M Kitchens Most Committed Player awards went to: Mali Norton of Cwmbran and Oscar Parker of Croesyceiliog.
