Pontypool welcome near neighbours and traditional rivals Newbridge to Pontypool Park on Saturday for a Championship match.
Pooler have got off to a good start with a bonus-point home win over Narberth in the opening league game of the season followed by an away win at Beddau last Saturday. Newbridge, meanwhile, have struggled somewhat with defeat at Dunvant in the first game and another reverse against Tata Steel at home last weekend.
However, this is a local derby and both clubs will be keen to win and earn the bragging rights until the return match at the Welfare Ground in December.
Last season, Pooler recorded the double over their opponents with a 25-17 verdict at Newbridge in September and won 38-8 at Pontypool Park on Boxing Day.
If Jamie Jeune plays on Saturday, it will be his 200th league appearance for the club – only the second player to achieve this milestone. Prop Nicky Blake made 201 league appearances between 2003 and 2012.
