On Saturday, Pontypool will make the long journey west, to the picturesque Lewis Lloyd Ground to take on Narberth in a mouth-watering clash of two unbeaten teams in the Specsavers WRU National Championship.
The games at Narberth have always proved very difficult for Pooler as Narberth is a quality side and don’t lose many games on their home ground. It is, therefore, vitally important for Pontypool to be disciplined, have a strong defence and to play to their potential, if they are to continue on their very successful run of victories in the Championship.
Pontypool currently top the league table with 3 wins from 3 and a maximum of 15 league points while the Otters, in 3rd place, also 3 from 3, have 13 league points.
Last season Pontypool inflicted a heavy 55-8 defeat on Narberth at Pontypool Park in October and Pooler won by the narrow margin of 18-16 in the return at Narberth in January, in what was a very tough encounter.
