Pontypool stars lead youth programme

Pontypool United U12s were the visitors to the Park as the club’s community outreach programme continued on Thursday.

The boys were put through their paces in scrummaging, lineout and rucking techniques by Wales U20 international prop Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths, while the kickers got in some practice from the tee with Matthew Jarvis.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the U12s committee, Pontypool United’s Rhys Apperley our very own Dylan, Jarv and Deon Smith for their contributions and most of all the 22 young players who were a credit to themselves and their club," said Community Outreach Co-ordinator Tony Clarke.

"The lads will open their season with a game against Abercarn this Sunday at Conway Road at 10.45am”.
